Dr. Laura Coulter is a veterinarian at Lady Hammond Animal Hospital in Halifax with a special interest in preventative medicine.
Meet Dr. Laura Coulter, DVM
Dr Laura Coulter grew up in Halifax and is a 2011 graduate of the Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI. She also holds a BSc (agr) from Dalhousie, Truro agricultural campus.
Before coming to Lady Hammond Animal Hospital, she tried her hand at rural living, first working as a mixed animal practitioner and then operating a large animal mobile practice on Nova Scotia’s north shore. She is excited to refocus on small animal care, and not just for the controlled climate! She enjoys preventative medicine and getting to know her patients and their owners.
Laura spends her time off traveling between the city and the country, where she and her partner, Joseph, have their two pigs, Jolene and Nikki Porker. Their fur family also consists of three cats, Princess, Ruby and Jòla. Laura loves summer when she can garden and spend time at her cottage on the Northumberland shore.
