Meet Dr. Jen Perret, DVM
Dr. Jen Perret graduated as a veterinarian from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2009, and completed a PhD in Epidemiology in 2019. The focus of her research was mental health in medical professionals, and she is passionate about improving emotional health in both her colleagues and her patients. She has recently moved to Halifax from Guelph, Ontario, and has also lived in Quebec, Manitoba, B.C., and Oxford, England, so she's excited to explore Atlantic Canada!
Dr. Jen currently has two adorable "veterinary special" mutts (Dr. Dobby Dobberson, a potcake from Saint Lucia and Pekoe, a chihuahua mix from Texas), and is between cats at the moment. Dr. Dobberson and Pekoe frequently hang out at the clinic to improve morale and clean any forgotten dog treats off the floor.
